Road safety Seminar to Pink lips hotels-Uganda

The held a Road Safety confeence to PLR in Entebbe Uganda. it aimed at increasing the public awareness on road safety issues within Uganda communities. The campaign targeted many people along with their societies. The participating attended a road safety lecture that was given by Safedrive Africa foundation. During the lecture all the participants received a variety of publications on various topics of safety promotion and injury. The participants were also given the chance to discuss their concerns and experiences on road safety.

General Kago Primary School-Evaluation of Road safety

As part of its public awareness activities, safedrive Africa foundation for road safety held a school debate on road safety to students in grades in General kago primary School. The participants attended a road safety lecture that was given by pamoja road safety in collaboration with SDAF Initiative and evaluation of the road safety story book distribution within Thika country in Kenya and public service vehicle operators and a discussion was held about road safety promotion. SDAF emphasized the importance of the use of seatbelt; dangers of speeding, driving under the influence and other safety issues. All the participants received a variety of road safety story books (Look and Listen before you cross) publications on various topics of safety. World remembrance for Traffic Victims with HOYWIK Orphans -Kibera Slums

As part of its public awareness activities, The Foundation held a commemoration prayers day on 17th Nov 2013 on road safety to Humanitarians Orphans youth widows in Kenya School. The participants attended a road safety prayer that was given by SDAF and a discussion was held about road safety promotion. Mr. Ngari –HOYWIK Director emphasized the importance of the use of zebra crossing, overpass bridges, footpath, wearing bright cloths, seatbelt; dangers of speeding, driving under the influence and other safety issues. All the participants received a variety of traffic victim’s publications on various topics of safety.

International Traffic Police training -Supporting road safety

The training for the Qatar traffic police training for road safety and supporting residences towards zero as world cup bidding nation 2022 to have safer roads for all .The theoretical training that was conducted for around police to improve their knowledge and public awareness about driving behavior and attitudes, providing training in defensive driving, equipment’s operations and to provide sufficient information to understand the mechanisms of trauma and how to avoid preventable injuries and death.

As part of its public awareness activities, The Foundation held a commemoration prayers day on 16th Nov 2013 on road safety to Kirawa Road School and Daisy Flower Kindergarten in Kenya School. The Parents, Teachers and pupils attended a road safety prayer that was given by the Foundation in Collaboration with Youth for Road safety-Kenya and a discussion was held about road safety advocacy. Mr.Mutashi-The Foundation Executive Director and MS Sheila Atieno-YOURS-KENYA emphasized the importance of the use of zebra crossing ,overpass bridges, footpath, wearing bright cloths ,seatbelt; dangers of speeding, driving under the influence and other safety issues. St. Andrews School-Turi-Training to supporting road safety

The Safedrive Africa Foundation carried out, through the raising awareness Program, in collaboration with School Management, the awareness sessions on “Defensive and Preventive Driving Skills”. They took place on November 3 2016, at St.Andrews School-Turi in Molo County. More staffs attended the sessions; their ages ranged between. The foundation Director, a specialist in international programs to develop drivers, gave the lecture presenting the causes of road accidents and how to avoid them. The sessions included photos and short films about live traffic accidents in addition to documentaries of fabricated accidents.

As part of its public awareness activities, we held a conference workshop to the engineers on road safety and environmental safety. The participants attended an environmental road safety lecture that was given by safedrive Africa Foundation and a discussion was held about road safety initiative. Road crashes have been a major cause of deaths in Kenya for a very long time, robbing families of their breadwinners and costing them years to get back on their feet economically. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 3,000 and 13,000 Kenyans lose their lives in road traffic crashes annually, of which more than 60% are vulnerable road users (pedestrians, motorcyclists and cyclists).
